About Dorayaki Cake/Dora Cake
Dorayaki cake | Dora cake is a kind of cake that consists of sweet red bean paste sandwiched between two layers of baked fluffy sponge made from flour, eggs and sugar. The name derives from the words "Dora," meaning gong, reflecting the shape of the cake, and "yaki," meaning baked. In Japanese, Dora means "gong", and because of the similarity of the shapes, this is probably the origin of the name of the sweet. Legend has it that the first Dorayaki were made when a samurai named Benkei forgot his gong (Dora) upon leaving a farmer’s home where he was hiding, and the farmer subsequently used the gong to fry the pancakes.

Dorayaki is a type of Japanese confection. It consists of two small pancake-like patties made from castella wrapped around a filling of sweet azuki bean paste. The original Dorayaki consisted of only one layer. Its current shape was invented in 1914 by Usagiya in the Ueno district of Tokyo.

1 cup Refined flour , मैदा
¾ cup Powdered sugar , पिसी हुई चीनी
3 tbsp Condensed milk , कंडेंस्ड मिल्क
½ tsp Baking powder , बेकिंग पाउडर
1 tsp Honey , शहद
1 tsp Vanilla essence , वनीला एसेंस
½ cup Milk , दूध
1 tbsp Butter , मक्खन
For Filling of Dora Cake
2 tbsp. Chocolate Spread , हेज़लनट चॉकलेट स्प्रेड
Or 2 tbsp. Azuki red Bean Jam (Optional)
Process For Making Dorayaki Cake | Dora Cake
Instruction For Making Dorayaki Cake
In a bowl add refined flour, powdered sugar, condensed milk, baking powder, honey, vanilla essence, milk, butter and mix well and make a batter.
Now heat a non-stick pan and a ladle full of the batter and cook it until golden brown then flip it on to the other side and cook that as well.
Repeat this with the rest of the batter. And let them cool down a little.
Then take on cake and spread the hazelnut chocolate spread on it then place another cake on it and press a little.
Serving immediately and enjoy it.
