About Amrud Panna


Amrud Panna or Amrud Jhora is an Indian drink renowned for its heat-resistant properties. It is made from Ripe Guava and is Red to white in color, and is consumed as a tasty and healthy beverage to fight against the intense Indian summer heat.


Amrud Panna or Amrud Jhora, which is prepared using raw mangoes, cumin, and an assortment of other spices, quenches thirst and prevents the excessive loss of sodium chloride and iron during summer due to excessive sweating. The drink is mainly consumed in north India and is considered beneficial.





What Is Guava Panna??


It is a vegan summer cooler made from unripe green mangoes. It is made when mangoes make their appearance in the hot Indian summers. Amrud panna has a tangy, sweet taste with hints of cardamom, cumin & black salt.

For Guava Panna

Ingredients

  1. 4 Guava, cut , अमरूद

  2. 1 ¼ cups Water, पानी

  3. Salt to Taste, नमक स्वादअनुसार

  4. 1 cup Sugar, चीनी

  5. 2 Dry red chillies, सूखी लाल मिर्च

  6. 1 tsp Degi Red chilli Powder, देगी लाल मिर्च पाउडर



For Guava Panna Masala

  1. ¼ cup Cumin seeds, जीरा

  2. ¼ cup Fennel seeds, सौंफ

  3. 2-3 Green Cardamom pods, हरी इलायची

  4. 3 heaped tbsp Black peppercorns, काली मिर्च के दाने

  5. ½ tbsp Black salt, काला नमक


For Serving Guava Panna

  1. ½ Lime juice, नींबू का रस

  2. 2-4 Ice cubes, बर्फ के टुकड़े

  3. 1 tsp Prepared Masala, प्यार किया हुआ मसाला

  4. ¼ cup Guava juice, अमरूद का जूस

  5. Guava, sliced, अमरूद

Process For Making Guava Panna


For Guava panna

  1. In a kadai, add guava, water, salt to taste, sugar, dry red chillies.

  2. Cover it with a lid and cook on medium flame until guavas turn soft and cooked well.

  3. Now remove from the flame and let it cool.

  4. Transfer the guavas into a grinder jar, add degi red chilli powder and grind it into a smooth puree and keep aside for future use.

To Serve

  1. In a tall glass take a spoonful of guava panna and add lime juice, a few ice cubes.

  2. Add a spoonful of prepared masala mix well. pour in guava juice and ice-cold water mix well.

  3. Finally, enjoy guava panna garnished with a slice of guava.
